Heat can be used to shape the plastic however you like, and once cooled, it hardens again to produce a solid prop or accessory. It can be heated and moulded as many times as you like and you can even reuse your scraps blended together to make a usable putty that you can use just like clay. One side is adhesive which means you can stick multiple layers of Worbla together without the need for glue, which is great for building detail. EVA foam is often used in combination with Worbla to give form and thickness to the object.
A heatgun is the best tool for heating Worbla fast and evenly, and it can be cut easily with a craft knife or a pair of scissors. Although Worbla can be painted directly onto the surface, it is highly recommended that primer such as Gesso or Elmer’s glue is applied before painting to create a smoother surface.
With Worbla you can make almost anything, from suits of armour to prop weapons, accessories and masks!
